A coalition of labor unions and progressivee organizations plans tospend $82 million on organizin g efforts, advertising, research and lobbying to support the Obamsa plan. Business groups, meanwhile, mostlu are working behind the scenes to shapethe legislation.
Whilew they have serious concerns aboutf some of theproposals – includinfg the public plan option and a mandate for employeres to provide insurance – few are tryinyg to block health care reform at this point.
